This is a notice of intent to negotiate with General Microwave Corporation, 5500 New Horizons Boulevard, Amityville, New York 11701 on an other than full and open competitive basis to purchase 22 each, p/n 4C, General Microwave Raham Radiation Hazard Meter(RAHAM); 22 each, calibration/warranty stickers attached to each unit indicating date calibrated, date due calibration, warranty/expiration date, and contract #. The RAHAM are rugged, reliable, easy to use, and measures RF and Microwave non-ionizing radiation. They consist of a power density meter, a probe, an extension cable, and a carrying case. They are portable and battery operated with a frequency range of 200 KHZ to 26.5 GHZ, power density of 40 dB, and full scale readings of 0.02, 0.2, 2 and 20 mW/cm2. The battery life is 500 hours. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with General Microwave Corporation to ensure that the meters will meet the requirement. Delivery is required to be FOB destination to Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland within 30 days after contract award.
