SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN
SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. 60181-9-Q293 is
issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a purchase
order using simplified acquisition procedures. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) is 99-Miscellaneous. Small Business Size is less
than 500 employees. This solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-10. The solicitation items are as follows: ITEM NO. 1 --
2,083 used Utah State Highway (or equal) 12' x 12" galvanized 12 gauge
steel highway guardrails with all associated galvanized bolts,
washers, fittings and accessories. Delivery shall be FOB destination on
or before July 30, 1999. ITEM NO. 2 -- 2,083 used Utah State Highway
(or equal) 12' x 12" galvanized 12 gauge steel highway guardrails with
all associated galvanized bolts, washers, fittings and accessories.
Delivery shall be FOB destination on or before August 31, 1999.
Delivery of Items No. 1 and No. 2 shall be made to several locations
between mile markers 26 to 36 on the Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery
Road, located approximately 40 miles northeast of Vernal, Utah.
Successful quoters shall contact Lloyd Strobeck, Project Leader of the
Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery at 435/789-4481 to arrange for
delivery. The guardrails shall be free of dirt, rust, paint or damage,
such as dents, holes, cuts, abrasions or repaired areas. More than one
award may be made. Government will award to the responsible
offeror/offerors based on the lowest price for Item No. 1 and the
lowest price for Item No. 2. Vendors wishing to respond to this RFQ
should provide this office with the following: A price quote on company
letterhead for the requested items showing unit and total prices,
payment terms, correct remittance address; and a completed copy of FAR
Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications --
Commercial Items. This form may be obtained from the Contracting
Officer by FAX or telephone (F 303/236-4791 V 303/236-5412 x228). The
offeror agrees to hold the prices in the offer firm for 30 calendar
days from the date specified for the receipt of offers. Quotes are due
Close of Business (4:00pm MDT) June 2, 1999, and can be sent (regular
mail) to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Box 25486, M/S 60181, Denver,
