indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery (open-end) civil/structural
design contracts will be issued for a period of one year with four
one-year option periods. The maximum amount per each delivery order is
$299,000. The cumulative amount of delivery-orders will not exceed
$750,000 for the basic year and $750,000 for each of the option years.
Delivery orders will be issued from time to time as the need arises
during the contract period _ a minimum of $5,000 in fee work will be
issued. Design services required will be primarily civil/structural
related projects, including preparation of drawings and specifications
to meet all of the most current regulations. Projects may also include
mechanical/electrical and architectural disciplines normally associated
with renovation. The services are required for design, repair,
renovation and minor construction projects including preparation of
drawings and specifications. Specifications and other reports when
requested, must be provided in hard copy and on3.5-inch high-density
IBM Word version 7.0 for Windows (CSI FORMAT). Drawings, when
requested, must be provided in AUTOCAD 14 format. Firms should describe
their computer/word-processing capabilities in their submittals.
Designs may need to include provisions for asbestos/lead removal. A-E
selection will be limited to firms submitting Standard Forms (SF) 254
and 255, and will be based solely on these forms. Significant
evaluation factors in order of relative importance are as follows: (A)
Experience, (B) Capability, (C) Workload, (D) Location, (E) Volume of
DOD Work. Firms should respond to this notice no later than 14 June
1999. This is not a request for proposal. Participation by minority
business enterprises is encouraged. Open to large and small businesses.
The Standard Industry Code for this project is 8712. The small business
size standard is a concern, including its affiliates, having an average
amount of sales or receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not in
