Facility/Bldg 63 to include but not limited to, repair and refurbish
several building systems at the corrosion control facility. The
Corrosion Control Facility is an aircraft hangar primarily used for
washing of C-17 Military Aircraft. The civil work includes installation
of a new gas line connected to the base natural gas distribution
system, the removal of exterior steam piping and supports connected to
the base steam distribution system, the addition of a small parking
area, repair to the existing water storage tank to the base water
supply system. Architectural work includes painting various areas
including hangar interior surfaces and all attached appurtenances,
replacement of ceramic tile in the shower, toilet, and locker rooms,
replacement of existing seals at the concrete hangar floor; application
of fire proofing to major structural members; and revisions to an
existing storage room (new boiler room). Mechanical work includes
installation of gas fired, hot water boilers, piping coils, and
controls, demolition of steam piping, replacement of HVAC system at
office and locker areas; replacement of hangar ventilation system and
miscellaneous Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) system piping
modification in both hangar and pumphouse; and replacement of aircraft
wash stations. Proposals will be evaluated using Performance/Price
Trade Off Procedures. Past Performance information must be relevant to
this requirement and have occurred within the past three years. _The
solicitation will be issued as unrestricted utilizing full and open
competition. Woman-owned Small businesses and disadvantage small
business concerns are encouraged to participate. Performance period
will be for a total of 300 calendar days. Estimated cost range of the
proposed acquisition is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. For
information purposes the applicable SIC code and small business size
standard for this solicitation is one where the average receipts of the
concern and its affiliates for the proceedingthree fiscal years does
not exceed $17 million, applicable SIC code is 1542. The solicitation
is tentatively scheduled for issuance on or about 30 May 99. THIS
SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED VIA THE INTERNET ONLY _ PAPER COPIES WILL
NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation may be downloaded from www.eps.gov.
