Sources Sought: Scope of Work is to install approximately 3450 linear feet of 24-inch water main down Bougainville Boulevard at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Homestead, Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. Work includes but is not limited to excavating, installing the main and associated valves and fittings, testing, cleaning and making connections to the Dade County water main and Homestead Air Reserve Station. After the main is installed, the area shall be returned to the original condition with asphalt road surfacing as required. This acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1623. Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Project performance period is 60 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 30 Jun 99. Dates are for estimating purposes only, and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation is unrestricted and isopen to large, small, small disadvantaged, and woman owned business concerns. Past Performance is an important evaluation factor for this solicitation. Contractors must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of three projects of this magnitude or greater, within the last five years for the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (MDWASA).
