Work will be conducted under the direction of the Seattle District,
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to perform environmental restoration on
the south fork of the Skagit River between Freshwater and Steamboat
Sloughs (referred to as Deepwater Slough), south of the town of Conway
and north of the Skagit Bay estuary, in Skagit County, Washington. The
work will consist of barging approximately 55,000 cubic yards of pit
run material up Freshwater Slough and off loading the material on the
island. The material will be used to build new levees and augment
existing levees. The location of work is on an island and the only mode
of transportation to and from the island is via boat/barge. IFB
available on or about 3 June 1999 at no charge per set. Documents will
be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is
exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to IFB Number
DACW67-99-B-0045 when ordering. Requests MUST BE IN WRITING and be
received before bid documents will be mailed. Requests may be FAXed to

Prime, Sub or Plans Room. IFB may be picked up from the Plans Room
Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Submit
requests by 27 May 1999. Estimated dollar value is in the range of
$500,000 to $1,000,000 and completion period is 90 days. Standard
Industrial Classification Code is 1429. Project is 100% set-aside for
small business concerns. For the purpose of this procurement, a concern
is considered small if its number of employees is less than 500. Visit
