The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Department of Commerce intends to negotiate with only one source, United Parcel Service (UPS) Airlines, 1400 N. Hurstborne Parkway, Louisville, KY 40223 for the installation and maintenance of 30 Water Vapor Sensing Sytem Units on UPS B-757 aircraft. The units are being placed aboard the UPS aircraft in support of NOAA's and the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Water Vapor Demonstration Program. The units are being carried free of charge, with only installation and maintenance costs being reimbursed by the Government. Only UPS personnel can carry out such installation on UPS aircraft.
