This acquisition is for ambulance service to transport patients to and from Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and other medical facilities with a three hundred mile radius. Aeromedical Evacuation service to and from local airfields is required. Transport may require BLS, ALS, or MIC units. Transport of ambulatory patients is required. Service is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, management, supervision, vehicles, supplies, equipment for transportation. All employees must meet education and training requirements. Criminal background checks are required. The contractor shall ensure that no minor children under the age of 18 years old are transported to BAMC without a chaperone, parent/guardian or Medical Treatment Facility Staff person, whose background check has been completed. Call response time is 30 minutes. This requirement will be processed under commercial item procedures and will be for a base and four one year option periods.
