Chiller and Electrical Switchboard Replacement at the Federal Building
& U.S. Courthouse, 410 West Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Contract completion is (200) calendar days from receipt of notice to
proceed. Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following
items of work: Remove two (2) 60 TON water cooled reciprocating
chillers and condenser water and chilled water pumps in basement
mechanical room, remove cooling tower in parking lot, and cooling coils
in four (4) multi-zone air handlers. Remove and dispose of R-11
refrigerant in compliance with latest ASHRAE 15R guidelines and EPA
requirements. Install two (2) 80 TON air cooled screw chillers in
parking lot, chilled water pumps, three -way control valves and cooling
coils and drip pans in mutli-zone air handlers, and associated piping,
valves and connections. Remove old switchboard and feeders in basement
switchboard room, and install new switchboard, panels, and electrical
feeders. The Government requires that portions of the work be performed
outside of normal business hours. This procurement is open to all
business concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is
1711 with a size standard of $7 million. The estimated cost range for
this project is $500,000 and $1,000,000. GSA is issuing this
solicitation electronically only. Interested parties may access the
solicitation via the Electronic Posting System (EPS),
http://www.eps.gov, on or about June 7, 1999. Potential offerors will
be responsible for downloading the solicitation and drawings. It is
also the offerors responsibility to monitor the site for possible
amendments and/or additional information. Prospective offerors
downloading the solicitation shall notify this office by email or
fascimile in order to be placed on the planholders list. Offer due date
and time for receipt of proposals will be July 7, 1999, 4:00 PM CST.
