Gauer 520 343-8138 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform maintenance dredging to remove and pump 500,000 cubic yards of river sediments to a designated disposal site located approximately 16,000 feet south of Imperial Dam, California. The project is on a section of the Colorado River located 20 miles north of Yuma Arizona at approximately Colorado River Mile 49.3. The Colorado River, at this location, is the state boundary line between California and Arizona. An indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) bid line item is included to remove and pump an additional estimated quantity of 750,000 cubic yards to the same disposal area. If additional funding becomes available, delivery orders will be issued for any quantities ordered under the IDIQ bid item. The magnitude of the project ranges from 5,000,000 to 10,000,000. Contractors should have the capability to pump dredged material 16,000 feet, mobilize quickly, and complete the project by December 15, 1999. If delivery orders are issued, the performance period will be extended. This is a 100% small business set aside. The standard industry code for this procurement is 1629. The size standard $13.5 with the following note: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
