301/504-5799 Supply all labor, materials, supervision, transportation
and equipment to paint and upgrade office area on the second floor of
Building 162, off Powdermill Road, BARC-EAST, Beltsville, Maryland,
20705. Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing ductwork and
hangers throughout office, area, grilles, light fixtures and lamps(per
attached sheet), blinds, three door louvers, vinyl cove base,
thermostat and related lines. Contractor shall patch and prepare all
damaged plastered wall areas throughout office area. Contractor shall
install new 60.96 cm x 60.96 cm, suspended ceiling system in all rooms.
Ceiling panels shall be 60.96 cm x 60.96 cm x .625 cm lav-in, fissured
acoustical panels with reveal edge. Contractor shall install new,
.6096 m x 1.2192 m, 4 tube, fluorescent, 120 volt, energy efficient
with electronic ballasts equipped with T8 lamps, light fisctures per
the attached drawing. Contractor shall install new, ivory, 3000
wiremold with ivory receptacles and cover plates in offices per the
attached drawing. Contractor shall scrape, patch and prepare all entire
wall areas, doors, door jambs, windows, and trim for painting.
Contractor shall supply two coats of acrylic, latex, semigloss, finish
paint to all doors, door jambs, windows, and window trim. Contractor
shall verify and relabel all breakers in electronic panel. Contractor
shall trace existing electric lines and mark all receptacles and
breakers. All work must be performed in accordance with Statement of
Work and specifications attached, USDA Special Conditions II, Wage Rate
MD990057 Modification 1, applicable drawings, and clauses. This job is
to be completed 30 days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. The
Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to
the responsive/responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the
solicitation and the statement of work/drawings and will be most
advantageous to the Government based on lowest price using Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. Magnitude of project is between $25,000 and
$100,000. Only one site visit will be conducted. Site visit is
scheduled for Wednesday June 23, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Building 162,
BARC-EAST, Beltsville, Maryland 20705. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE
FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS (ESB) CONCERN/S. To qualify as an ESB, a
small business concern's size must be no greater than $3.5 million
dollars annually for the last three years. The SIC code is 1542. The
Request for Quotations (RFQ) shall be issued on or about June 7, 1999
and can only be obtained by fax to fax # 301-504-8696 (specify the
solicitation number 9011265150-00274) or by mail to the above address.
