Postal Service is soliciting proposals to replace the diesel generator at the Bradley Air Mail Facility at 10 Schoesphoester Road in Windsor Locks, CT. Work includes, but is not limited to, removing the existing underground diesel oil storage tank and generator; installing a new natural-gas-fired generator; and installing a new UPS for emergency circuits within the building. The estimated cost of the work is between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00, with completion within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no later than, 4:00 p.m. on June 17, 1999. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available o/a May 20, 1999 at a cost of $15.00 per set (non-refundable) from theFacilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Only certified checks or money orders, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S. Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-99-A-0100), will be accepted. Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and information regarding their availability may be obtained by contacting Catherine Delasco at (860) 285-7191. There will be a preproposal conference for this project on Thursday, June 3, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the site. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. This is not a formal invitation for bid; therefore, no bid bond is required.
