42 -- MOBILE AIRCRAFT FIREFIGHTER TRAINING DEVICE SOL N00189-99-Q-0006 DUE 071599 POC Nicole Wohl (757)443-1450 Mobile Aircraft Firefighting Training Device (MAFTD) that will simulate an aircraft fire using propane gas technology to provide rescue and live fire training to U.S. Naval personnel ashore and afloat including Federal Fire Service personnel. This is a requirements-type procurement for a base year with four additional one-year option periods. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. This is a restricted procurement. All offerors responding to the solicitation shall support the requirement that they have, within the last four years, commercially built and sold, leased, rented, or built a fire trainer that has been tested by an independent laboratory to corroborate the confined interior design and the safety and survivability requirements specified in the solicitation. Closing date will be specified in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Only written or facsimile requests will be accepted. Requests for the solicitation must state that neither the requestor nor principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive a contract from any federal agency.
