Blevins, Contracting Officer (703) 607-6743 The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking information in this "Sources Sought" announcement for General Services Administration schedule holders that can provide the following configured workstation(s) as follows: Windows NT/Intel Pentium III processor (minimum 450 MHz), 512KB L2 cache, 128 MB SDRAM, PCO to Ultrawide SCSI II adapter with 68-pin 16-bit external SCSI connector, removable 4 GB (minimum) Ultrawide SCSI hard drive, LS-120 disk drive, 4-8GB DAT Tape drive, AGP Video card resolution of 1600x1200x65,000 color with minimum 32MB video RAM, SCSI CD-ROM (40x minimum speed), 10/100BaseT network card with AUI port, two type II PCMCIA sockets, two serial ports, one parallel port, 2 USB ports, PS/2 mouse port, 104 key keyboard with PS/2 connector, 2 unused PCI slots, 230 watt power supply (minimum), Winnov's Videum AV (PCI) video capture card, 3 year hardware warranty; Monitor: 1600x1200x65,000 color resolution, 75 MHz, 19 inch screen; Speakers: Labtec LCS-1012; Headphone: Labtec C-316;Camera: Winnov Color Analog Video Camera; Uninterruptable Power Supply: APC Smart UPS 700; Software: MS Windows NT 4.0 with Windows 2000 upgrade option, MS Office 97 Professional with Office 2000 upgrade option -- Total Qty 50 each. All hardware must be compatible with the following peripherals using Windows NT 4.0 OS: HP ScanJet 6100C, HP ScanJet 4C, HP ScanPartner 15C, and Kodak DC-260 camera. Anticipated delivery schedule is as follows: 16 units -- September 1, 1999; 17 units -- November 1, 1999; 17 units -- January 3, 2000. This "Sources Sought" shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government for any follow on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this "Sources Sought". Interested vendors should provide GSA Schedule number, GSA Schedule expiration date, GSA Schedule price per unit for the configuration, state as to whether the vendor would provide volume discounts, and state whether the vendor would be willing to provide a configuration for short term government testing. The systems will be tested using the following criteria: 1) Load standard ADNET software with the appropriate video, sound and network card driver changes; 2) Install the HP ScanJet 6100C software and OmniPage Pro 9.0; 3) Conduct Y2K test; 4) Insert a USRobotics XJ1560 modem card, reboot the system, and ensure that the operating system's Control Panel PC Card option recognizes the card; 5) Start NetMeeting 2.1 and ensure that the video camera, speaker and microphone are operational in a NetMeeting session; 6) Run WinStone 99 tests to measure performance; 7) unplug the UPS with the computer and monitor powered on for one hour; 8) Start OmniPage Pro 9.0 and ensure that the HP ScanJet 6100C scanner is operational; and 9) Uninstall the HP ScanJet 6100C scanner and install the HP ScanJet 4C scanner. Start OmniPage Pro 9.0 and ensure that the HP ScanPartner 15C scanner is operational.
