a successful bidder(s) of this solicitation on the Cumberland River
Watershed Area and other Flood Protection projects as specified as Area
1, Area 2 and Area 3. Bidders may submit bids for either Area 1, Area
2 or Area 3. Bidders may submit bids for either Area 1, Area 2 or Area
3 or any combination thereof using the separated bid sheets. An Area
1 award is defined as an area that includes the Laurel Lake and Lake
Cumberland areas near Sommerset, Kentucky. An Area 2 award is defined
as an area which encompasses the Dale Hollow Lake, Cordell Hull Lake
and Center Hill Lake areas near Cookeville, TN. An Area 3 award is
defined as an area encompassing Old Hickory Lake, J. Percy Priest Lake,
Cheatham Lake and Lake Barkley areas near Nashville, TN. If a large
business is selected for this contract and the contract award amount is
over $1,000,000.00, it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the
requirment for submission of a subcontracting plan. The subcontracting
goals for this District with Small Business are 55%: including small
disadvantaged business of 8.5% and wonam owned small business of 3%.
This plan is not required with the submittal. The work consists of
constructing various sized Comfort Stations (Restrooms and Restrooms
with showers), Picnic shelters and Fish Cleaning Stations to include
all site work associated with providing a complete and useable
facility. work shall be performed as specified in the contract
specifications and as detailed on the contract drawings and required
shop drawings. The various types of facilities listed in the Bid
Schedules have been established to fit the multiple needs of the
various recreational areas and work will be accomplished through the
issuance of Task Orders which will specify the type(s) and quantity of
facilities to be constructed. The principal items of work included
site work, building construction, and micellaneous metal construction.
This solicitation is IF No. DACW62-99-B-0001 with an award duration of
one (1) base year which will end 1 Oct 1999, with two (2) option years
thereafter. The range per year, per each award is estimated in the
$250,000.00 range. Bid document will be available on CD ROM on or about
24 May 1999. Sic Code is 1542. Size standard for small business is
average annual receipts for the preceeding three (3) years not to
exceed $17 million. Responsible sources requesting bid documents may
submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency. Request to receive
