This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation/RFQ for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The purpose of this procurement is to remove the existing roof and install a new roof for NASA Ames Research Center building N233 in accordance with a PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS) AND DRAWINGS. Contractor shall remove all existing built-up roofing and insulation down to the existing concrete deck. Install new built-up roofing (approximately 12,820 sq. ft.- contractor shall field verify) over insulation as instructed in specifications and drawings. Contractor shall remove existing rooftop equipment as necessary to install roofing. Re-install existing equipment and modify as necessary to conform to new roofing system and new equipment supports. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 1761 and $7.0M, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA Ames Research Center is required within 60 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C3. Quotations for the items(s) described above may be mailed or faxed to the identifiedpoint of contact LISTED ABOVE, by the date/time specified BELOW and include: solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), Data Universal Numbering (DUNS) number, Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE) number, identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 is as follows: (1) Compliance with Veteran's Employment Reporting Requirements (February 1999). (2) By submission of its offer, the offeror represents that, if it is subject to the reporting requirements of 37 U.S.C. 4212(d)(i.e., the VETS-100 report required by Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era), it has submitted the most recent report required by 37 U.S.C. 4212(d). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
