Z -- EXPANSION OF WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT CENTER BUILDING AT YUMA DESALTING PLANT, YUMA AZ SOL 99-SI-34-0240 DUE 071319 POC Myra Cordero, Contract Specialist, 520-343-8134; Bridget Gauer, Contracting Officer, 520-343-8138 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for labor, materials, and equipment and necessary incidentals to expand of the west side of the existing Water Quality Improvement Center (WQIC) building in accordance with the specifications. Construction includes the demolition and disposal of existing reinforced concrete aprons and designated portions of the existing floor slab; removal and disposal of a portion of the existing paved service road; extension of designated plumbing systems; required earthwork for the construction of the new building expansion; concrete work for foundations, stemwalls and floor slabs; furnishing and installing preengineered metal building frames to match existing spacing; furnishing and installing insulated metal wall and roof panels to match existing; removing four electrically operated telescoping doors and controls and reinstalling three electrically operated telescoping doors and controls; removing one 15' x 20' coiling door and controls and reinstalling door and control at designated location; furnish and install one 15 x 15 coiling door and control; electrical and lighting systems; painting and miscellaneous metals required to provide a complete water tight building expansion. The work is located at the Yuma Area Office, Yuma Desalting Plant, approximately 4 miles east of Yuma Arizona, Yuma County. The performance time for completion is 180 days. This acquisition is unrestricted using full and open competition. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 to $500,000. The small business size standard is $17.0 Million and the standard industrial classification is 1542. Copies of this solicitation will be available on or about June 8, 1999.
