The USDA National Finance Center(USDA/NFC), located in New Orleans, LA, seeks technical and published price information on large scale mainframe system printers that connect to ESCON channels are Xerox DJDE compatible, and graphics capable. The printers will operate in an OS/390 environment with JES2. Minimum resolution is 300 dpi. The offered print complex will provide a sustained print capacity of 600 to 1000 duplex pages per minute produced from a minimum of two and a maximum of four print engines. Responses should include requirments for physical space and electrical supply. It is requested that the response include a description of any ancillary equipment customarily provided or available for paper supply and delivery to finishing equipment. This is NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). There is no RFP or Statement of Work available, nor is there a commitment to actually purchase a product. There will be no contract award resulting this effort. However, interested persons may identify to the government representative their interest and capability within 30 days of this notice. The government will use the information obtained from this effort to understand the capabilities of the marketplace for this environment.
