Government is seeking sources who are capable of providing a Processing
And Input/Output System For The Communications Console Of The E-3C
AWACS Communications Trainer. This integrated, tested and bundled
package, when delivered, will run trainer specific hardware. (Minimum
system requirements are: 1) Microsoft NT 4.0 installed on all
processors; 2) All processor cards must be capable of communications
through onboard duel-port memory; 3) Embedded software must be included
and loaded to provide processor to processor communications, processor
to I/O communications and stand alone I/O diagnostics, communications
and control; 4) I/O communications must be via reflective memory and
linked with fiber optics; 5) External communications to a
"Touch-Screen" computer via PCI/VME reflective memory system; and 6)
Provide at least 896 digital input points and 640 high current (600ma)
digital outputs.) The Government requires at a minimum for total
integrated solution package to consist of; (25Mhz Motorola Series
(MVME-162) 68040 CPU, a 7695-250 single-slot Pentium II Processor-based
VMEbus CPU, and a 7695-255 single-slot Pentium II Processor-based
VMEbus CPU, a VMEbus 6 Gbyte hard drive and floppy drive module, a 128
bit high voltage digital input board, a 128 bit high voltage digital
output board, VMEbus reflective memory, VMIPMC-5578XL-01 PMC reflective
memory, VMIPCI-5576-001 PCI reflective memory, MO5; 5 slot VME bus
monolithic backplane, M15; 15 slot VMEbus monolithic backplane,
PS700-012 sing-out power supply, FA3-D triple fan assembly, 301A-000
eurocard blank panels, 1 foot fiber optic cables (ST Connectors), 10
foot fiber optic cables (ST Connectors), IIOC Host software support
package, Windows NT operating system Ver 4.0, VMIPMC/SW-RFM1-QBC-910
reflective memory device driver, IOWorks maintenance agreement,
VMIPMC/SW-RFM1-QBC-910 annual maintenance agreement, a
VMISFT-9420-006-910 IOWorks access for Windows NT, a CATT custom
configuration and testing, on-site installation support.) All items
purchased must compose the integrated total solution package. This is
a completely integrated software/hardware system, not individual parts.
The Government will require the package to be fully assembled, tested
and be installed by the manufacturer. Firms who could meet the
