Shasta-Trinity National Forest will be issuing an negotiated contract for commercial thinning, shaded fuelbreak construction, fuels treatment, road maintnenace and decommissioning and timber stand improvement activities on National Forest land on the Hayfork Ranger District, Trinity County, California. It is expected that the contract will be multi-year. Proposers will be required to submit a technical as well as a price proposal. Award will be based on best value to the Government; past performance as well as other factors will be equal to or greater than low price in determining the awardee. Issuing date of the solicitation is estimated to be June 15, 1999. A pre-proposal and site visit meeting is expected to be on or about June 30, 1999. See numbered Note 1.
