Commercial Sponsorship opportunities available for Riverfest '99. The event is being hosted by Bolling AFB and the 11th Services Division with substantial sponsorship support from Oldies 100 fm WBIG. Riverfest '99 is an all day event/concert (1 to 9 p.m.) scheduled for Saturday, September 4. The event will take place on Bolling AFB along the Potomac River making the event centralized and visible to the Washington DC Metro area. The 1999 Auto Skills Center Car Show will be one of the featured areas with an expected 100 car showing. Separate/additional sponsorship will be considered for this event alone. The purpose of the event is to serve the community at large by providing a free concert and festival, showcase Bolling AFB and its facilities to the public, and to showcase the USAF Band. Scheduled events include a free concert featuring music from the USAF Band, Johnny Rivers and other nationally known acts, vendor booths, food and beverage concession areas, interactive areas for children, and other military displays and demonstrations. The audience for the event will primarily consist of WBIG listeners and the military community within the Washington D.C. Metro area with an estimated 15,000 expected. There are strong possibilities for exposure in all areas during and prior to the event. Sponsorship opportunities exist in the form of in-kind products and services, financial support and donations. Benefits may include company/product information displays, inclusion in media releases, and other product displays, signage and advertising. Sponsorship offerings and benefits may be catered to meet company needs. More than one sponsor may be used and additives will be considered. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a Non-appropriated Fund Instrumentality of the United States Government.
