Video surveillance system in Building 5234, Community Fitness and
Sports center, US Air Force Academy. Installation would begin no
earlier than August 1, 1999 or no later than August 15, 1999. The
contractor will provide the following equipment items or their

will include sale of the above equipment, labor to install, and all
necessary equipment rental costs. All contractor personnel will be
required to attend a 'Construction Safety' briefing prior to commencing
any work. This briefing will be presented by the US Air Force Academy
and the duration would be 30 minutes. SCOPE All cameras are color
cameras fitted with lenses chosen to cover the desired areas. Cameras
and camera enclosures will be mounted on Pelco or Pelco equivalent
mounts rated to hold up to 25 pounds. All cameras will be mounted as
covertly as possible near the ceiling. Cable for the cameras, and
controls will be run wild and hidden in ceilings and walls where
possible. If the wires are to be installed in conduit, it will be the
resonsibility of the Government to provide the proper conduit and
electrical power. Swimming Pool: Four cameras will be placed in each
corner near the ceiling. Each camera will watch one quarter of the
pool. Do to the humid and warm environment, the cameras will need to be
housed in pressurized enclosures. The cameras and lenses will be
positioned to view the entire pool area. Basketball court: Like the
pool, there will be four cameras located near the ceiling. To avoid
damage from balls and other flying objects, the cameras will be
enclosed in enclosures. Each camera will cover one quarter of the
court. Gym #2: Duplicate coverage as the basket ball court. Multi
Purpose room with balcony #142: Install four cameras to cover this
space. Racquetball court: Each of the four courts will have an
individual camera monitoring it through the glass, rear wall. The
cameras will be outside the courts to comply with rules, and avoid
being damaged. Cybex/Weight room #143: One camera will be mounted high
on the West wall. This location will cover the room including the
important entrance view. Anyone entering the room would be frontally
recorded. Aerobics room #122: A camera in the Northeast corner of the
room will cover the space, and all of the entrances. Spinning room
#230: One camera in the northwest corner will cover most of the room,
and the entrance. Hallways: Hallway #G05 will have one camera mounted
at the West end near the ceiling. Hallways #110 and #151 will have two
cameras facing towards each other. This will completely cover the long
hallway including the west outdoor entrance, multipurpose room
entrance,corridor entrance to the racquetball courts, and East corridor
opening leading to the lobby. Hallway #202 will have two cameras
similarly positioned to cover the long space and it's exits. Control
Station: The control station will be installed in room #116 behind the
reception desk. Camera images will be displayed on two 20" color
monitors. The monitors will be installed in mounts and suspended from
the ceiling to conserve space. Each monitor will be capable of
simultaneously displaying 16 camera views via multiplexers. The
multiplexer will allow the operator to manipulate and call up any
camera or cameras desired. All cameras will be recorded on a time lapse
recorder. A monitor feed will be extended into the adjacent office
