The theme is "Accelerating the Revolution of Business Affairs-Building on the Momentum as a way of providing better, faster, cheaper products to our customer -- the Warfighter!" Acquisition and Logistics Reform continue to be critical elements of the Department's Revolution in Business Affairs. PHD NSWC has scheduled a variety of events for the acquisition community during this week. Local navy commands (SLC, NAVFAC, NAWC) as well as Industry Partners are participating. The events will be held at PHD NSWC Bldg 1388 Auditorium and Bldg 445 A/V Center. An added feature this year will include Dam Neck, Louisville, ICSTF, and China Lake as participants via video and audio in an interactive Video Teleconference "all hands." Participation of the entire acquisition workforce is expected. People from the local navy community, industry partners, DAWIA Acquisition Workforce Program coded positions and anyone whose job supports acquisition are welcome to attend. (It's mandatory that DAWIA folks attend at least one of the planned events. Attendance satisfies requirements set forth under the DOD "Reform Through Learning Policy on Continuous Learning for the Acquisition Workforce" of 15 December 1998.)
