This acquisition is for the overhaul of the Power Generator Unit (PGU) engines, which support the Mobile Ground Segment of the Defense Support Program weapon system. The contract will be an Indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with an ordering period of 3 years. The estimated quantity on the contract is 20 engines per year. However, the guaranteed minimum is 4 engines, which will be issued on the first delivery order at the time the contract is awarded. The approximate issue/response date will be 10 JUN 1999. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition.
