Sealed offers are due on or before Wednesday, June 23, 1999 no later than 4:00 pm EST. Award will be based upon price and other factors. The evaluation factors are outlined in the solicitation package. There will be a pre-proposal meeting held on Thursday, June 10, 1999 beginning at 9:00 am in Room 3001B of the Boston General Mail Facility to review the project specifics. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. PLEASE NOTE: This replaces Solicitation No. 082530-99-A-0080 issued for the prequalification of contractors on March 15, 1999. Work includes but is not limited to providing all materials, labor and equipment required to complete renovations and modifications to the basement, first and second floor areas in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by The Maguire Group. The project also includes a new roof, a new loading platform extension and mechanical and electrical systems. The estimated cost of construction is between $3.4 million and $4.3 million with construction completion no later than 395 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
