Z -- IDC REPLACE HANGAR DOORS, BLDG 250 SOL F03602-99-R0011 DUE 072199 POC SSgt Jones-Mooring, (501)987-3855, or Contracting Officer, Ray Blevins, (501)987-3379, Facsimile Number (501) 987-8119 The principle features of work for Project Number NKAK 98-1034 include, but are not limited to: (a) The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor and material in performing all operations in connection with the construction, demolition, alteration and repair to thirty-two (32) Aircraft Hangar Doors, Building 250. All work shall be completed in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications. (b) Each hangar door is individually operated, horizontal moving, biparting sliding door type. Work that is indicated or specified to be performed at each door shall be accomplished while door is in between the top guides and its bottom rail. Existing drive components shall be removed, including 24" train wheels and chain driven mechanism, drive motor and controls and warning devices and shall be replaced with new. Existing electric distribution system to doors including power rails shall be removed and replaced with completely new system from distribution panels to the door operator motors. Distribution panels and circuit breakers shall be replaced with new. All existing weather-stripping shall be removed and replaced with new. Interior and exterior of doors shall be cleaned, primed and painted. (Existing interior paint is flaking and peeling and contains lead.) Interior of doors shall be cladded in pre-finished steel flush liner panel. Exterior paint color shall be Sherwin Williams Castle Beige (SW2025) with personnel door frames and doors painted Beatrix Brown (SW2014). Exposed interior metal shall be painted to match the factory finish off-white of liner panels. This is a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The performance period wil be 240 calendar days. This procurement is being issued on an unrestricted basis.
