Correction: This action, previously published in the Commerce Business Daily on 29 April 1999, is hereby corrected to add and update as follows: The Joint USMC-USSOCOM Light Strike Vehicle program has been initiated and was to host a Brief-to-Industry on 4 June 1999 at Quantico USMC Base. Due to recent program changes, this Brief-to-Industry has been rescheduled to 8 July 1999. Starting time will be 08:30 AM and location will still be the Marine Corps Research Center. Persons interested in attending should submit a faxed request on company letterhead to LSV Briefing at (301) 227-4389 or via e-mail to StuberMA@nswccd.navy.mil no later than 25 June 1999. The program has recently been modified with additional vehicles planned for fielding. The Marine Corps/SOCOM plan to field a family of Internally Transportable Vehicles, for which 373 Light Strike Variants will be the first fielded. Approximately three thousand (3000) additional vehicles of multiple configurations (personnel, ambulance litter carrier, utility, command and control) are envisioned.
