antenna is used as part of radio sets AN/VRC-87 through 92 of the
SINCGARS System. It is end fed, used in tracked or armored vehicles.
Physical Characteristics: Steel Whip Mono Pole, 6ft long Fiber Glass
Subassembly Base Performance Characteristics: Frequency 30-88 MHz Power
150W Gain -8.8db-3.5db (on 10ft by 10ft ground plane) DWV 20kV RMS
(Dielectric Withstanding Voltage) The antenna must be able to operate
over a temperature range of -51degrC to + 65degrC. It shall withstand
vibration and shock induced during field transport over all types of
terrain. It shall be resistant to high level shock caused by ballistic
impact, air blast, explosions, and similar combat field explosions. It
shall also withstand exposure to wind-driven rain, fine dust and sand
particles with wind speeds. This is a Market Survey to acertain
