The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure 180 Mountaingate P/N RSP-2150I-DR Tape Drives, various spares and repair services. The Mountaingate tape drives are to be utilized in support of the Joint Service Imagery Processing System Navy (JSIPS-N) for the Space & Naval Warfare Center, San Diego, C4I Programs Office, Philadelphia. These supplies/services are to be provided under a Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The proposed effort will commence 1 Aug 99 and end 31 Jul 00 with four 12 month option periods extending ordering/performance to 31 Jul 04. Delivery of the tape drives and completion of the repair services shall be 30 days after arrival of order (ARO). The eventual contract action is for supplies/services the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with authorized vendors of Mountaingate of Reno, NV under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Mountaingate Model RSP-2150I tape drive is the only tested, evaluated, and approved tape drive for the JSIPS-N. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interests and technical capability to respond to this requirement. All technical proposals received within the 45 day notice will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon technical responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
