Michael Dodd, SEA 02522, (703) 602-8000 Ext 568 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions for a period of up to three years under a new Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-99-G-5222 with Northrop Grumman Norden Systems (NGNS) of 65 Marcus Drive, Melville, NY 11747. Orders will be issued for material and services for maintenance and repair (including emergency repair) for the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System. This includes all materials and services incidental to such work, such as repair parts, components, accessories, documentation, associated tools and necessary packing, packaging and marking, storage, inventory functions or shipping and handling. In appropriate cases, any repair, alteration, or overhaul may be handled by the issuance of an order to cover the opening and inspection of the equipment by the Contractor to determine the extent of repair, alteration, or overhaul work which the Contractor may be required to provide. Such work shall also include installation of alterations, engineering changes, and field changes or other modifications as required. NGNS is the original designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System. Therefore, no other firm possesses the technical expertise required to perform the work that will be required by the Government. This BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
