38 -- CORE SAMPLE DRILLING IN OPHIR ALASKA SOL LAP99-2020 DUE 060799 POC POC -- Terese Bertini (907) 267-1320 Fax (907) 267-1434 The bureau of Land Management has a requirement to have a contractor furnish equipment,operator and supplies to perform core sample drilling. There is an Old Churn Drill on site however it may not be functional. If this equipment is not functional the contracot will have to furnish his own. The work site is located at the confluence of the Innoko River with Little Creek and Ganes Creek, approximately 5 miles SE of Ophir Alaska. There is road access between Ophir and the work site, however there is no road access to Ophir from the outside the area. There is a small airport located in Ophir. The contractor will need to furnish all fuel, lubricants and other operating supplies and the necessary equipment to transport and operate the equipment for the job. Please list the type of equipment and horsepower you will be using. The contactor must provide all food and lodging for employees. The estimated period of performance is ten days, beginning on or about June 23, 1999 and ending on or about July 2,1999. The work includes leveling work on the site at the sample locations, drilling a minimum of four(4) holes, and a maximum of eight (8). The holes will be cased. The holes will be drilled to bedrock not to exceed 40 feet, for collecting a representative mineral samples of gravel. The contractor will backfill the drill site where necessary to creat a safe site for animals and humans. The government will have a appointed contacting officer's representive on site while the work is being performed. Payment will be made on an hourly basis which will be documented by the COR, plus mob and demob cost. Posted 05/25/99 (W-SN335620). (0145)
