The U.S. Army Soldier Biological Chemical Command's -- Natick Soldier
Center (USASBCCOM-NSC), on behalf of the United States Marine Corps, is
seeking sources capable of meeting its requirement for an estimated
quantity of 3,637 Waterproof Bags, in two (2) different styles. These
Waterproof Bags shall have the following salient characteristics: 420
denier junior urethane coated pac-cloth, sewn and double heat
vulcanized, guarantee air, gas and water tightness. Each bag shall also
be equipped with air, gas and water zipper and oral/manual inflator.
The dimensions of the first bag will be 23x18x9 and will fit any large
ALICE style pack. The second bag measures 36x8x7, has an internal
glove attached for shoot through applications, and contains D-rings for
securing in boats and vehicles. Both bags will work together as a
system in order to accomplish the mission. The specific dive bag for
equipment and weapons will be used for underwater infiltration. It is
anticipated that the solicitation will be available on our Web site,
"http: //www3.natick.army.mil" on or about 25 June 1999, with a due
date for proposals on the solicitation anticipated on or about 25 July
1999 (actual date will be stated in the solicitation). Anyone
interested in bidding on the aforementioned requirement should respond
to this announcement in writing no later than the 25 June 1999 date.
