COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 27,1999 PSA#2355SULFUR-COATED UREA The Tennessee Valley Authority is considering
offering rights for either an exclusive license(s) or nonexclusive
license(s) to make, use, and sell "Sulfur-Coated Urea" U.S. Patent No.
4,676,821, June 30, 1987. The grant of such license(s) shall be
subject to a reservation of a nonexclusive, nontransferable,
irrevocable, paid-up license to TVA on behalf of the U.S. Government to
practice and have practice of the invention. For exclusive license(s),
the period contemplated for exclusivity is eight years. Consideration
will also be given to several exclusive licenses based on geographic
areas. This invention utilizes techniques and provides an apparatus for
reducing the amount of sulfur currently needed by industry to coat
water-soluble fertilizer materials such as, granular or prilled urea.
Production of sulfur-coated urea by this process also results in
substantially higher nitrogen values. Parties interested in this
technology should submit in writing a notification of interest within
30 days of this notice to W. Keith Rylant, Tennessee Valley Authority,
