Contractor shall provide drivers and buses to transport approximately 1,800 students to and from schools located throughout Fort Knox, Kentucky and shall provide a bus and driver to transport students from Fort Knox, Kentucky to and from The School for the Blind located in Louisville, Kentucky. Contractor shall provide fuels, parts, and maintenance on all buses. Buses shall be 1990 or newer models, shall be diesel, and shall meet the Kentucky Department of Education-Division of Pupil Transportation specifications for the year in which buses were manufactured. The average age of the contractor's total bus fleet shall not exceed seven years. Contract is for a base period of 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 with four one- year options by the Government to extend the contract. Only Written solicitation requests are acceptable.
