This is a solicitation notice for Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineer Requirements (SABER) Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery contract at Cannon AFB, NM. This project is 100% set aside for 8(a) firms registered for construction (SIC code 1542) in New Mexico. The solicitation will be issued on or about 14 Jun 99. The offerors will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, labor and personnel necessary to plan, design, manage, and accomplish the jobs. The jobs will vary in size with the majority expected to be of a small to medium size. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades such as carpentry, fencing, road repair, roofing, excavation, interior and exterior electrical, steam fitting, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, and welding. Projects will be in support of real property maintenance, repair, alteration, and/or new construction. The guaranteedminimum is $100,000 for the first year and an additional $100,000 for each option period exercised (three one-year options possible). The maximum value over the life of this contract shall not exceed $4,000,000. Proposals received will be evaluated for the entire performance period (basic and three options) on the basis of Past Performance and Cost. In the evaluation, Past Performance will be considered somewhat more important than Cost. Interested 8(a) firms in the state of New Mexico should download the solicitation from EPS.
