This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses identified in FAR Subpart 12, FAC 97-3, as required. Standard Industrial Classification is 3826 and 500 employee size standard. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. This is a firm-fixed price procurement using Commercial Procedures. This procurement is for the labor, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation of 1,408 each carbon monoxide detectors. Installation is not required. Detectors will be mounted in housing units located at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. Each unit shall conform to the following: 1. Battery powered with initial battery supply provided 2. Mountable on wall or ceiling 3. Meets International Approval Services (IAS) standard 6-96 version 1998 4. Provides signals for the following: 1. System properly functioning (visual signal) 2. CO detection (visual signals) 3. Alarm (critical levels of CO detected) visual and audible) 4. System malfunction (visual and audible alert; different form alarm) 1. Provides a test button/switch 2. Provides a digital display that shows current CO parts per million, current system malfunction codes, and historic data on peak levels during the past eight days (minimum). 3.
