Supply Center Jacksonville FL, Mayport Detachment intends to purchase
on a sole source basis from Tesa Entry Systems Inc, 2100a Nancy Hanks
Drive, Norcross GA 30071-2922 Card Key Locks and accessories with
installation for Bachelor Quarters Bldg 1587 and Bldg 451, Naval
Station Mayport Fl 32228. This requirement is for a fixed priced
contract for seven line items as follows. Line item 0001: Quantity 162
each; Item Description: Card Key Lock installed, lock set model Ht24,
style Toledo. Line item 0002: Quantity 4 ea; Item Description: Card
key lock set, model Ht24, style Toledo (spares) . Line item 0003:
Quantity 50 ea; Item Description: lockset, model Ht24, style Toledo
Cylindrical Prep installed Line item 0004: quantity 4 each; Item
Description: Lockset model Ht24, style Toledo Cylindrical Prep
(spares). Line Item 0005: Quantity 6 each; Item Description: Access
single aluminum door electric latch Satin Aluminum installed. Line item
0006: Quantity 14 each; Item Description: Tesa rim panic interface
installed. Line Item 0007: Quantity 162 each; Item Description: cover
plate. These items will be acquired on a sole source basis utilizing
the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and in accordance with the
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The equipment must be
compatible with the existing Tesa Card key lock system, computer
system, hardware, software and supplies installed in the Bachelor
Housing Complex. Personnel have been trained in the use and maintenance
of the Tesa system. The approximate issue/response date will be 17 JUN
1999. The anticipated award date will be 28 JUN 1999. All responsible
sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which
shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification:
Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a
limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies
or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed award action
is for supplies and services for which theGovernment intends to solicit
and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
However, the Government will consider all proposals received within
fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A
determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order
based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of
the Government. Information received will normally be considered
solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. Solicitation will be made in writing. This action is
set-aside for small business. The applicable SIC code is 3429 and the
small business size standard is 500 employees. Delivery of all items is
required 60 days after award of contract to be delivered FOB
