Work also includes the clearing and excavation necessary to widen a small portion of the trail from three feet to four feet. The intent of this contract is to provide a smooth uniform permanent trail surface at a high recreational use site. Parts of the trail will be widened and resurfaced for handicap accessibility. The project is located on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit on Forest Service land overlooking Kings Beach, CA. The entire project is located in Placer County. Work will be contained to the existing trail system. The estimated start work date is 081599, contract time 30 days. Government estimate $25,000-$100,000.
