The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a cobalt-60 replacement source for an Eldorado Super G teletherapy machine. The source shall be rated between 12000 and 15000 roentgen per hour at one meter (RHM). The job shall include removal and disposal of the present source. The supplier shall refurbish the Eldorado Super G head, install the new source, and accomplish all other handling operations in compliance with the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC ) regulations.
