The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources to supply 2-3 KG of aluminum hydride energetic material (AHEM) for laboratory analysis. The procured AHEM material would be evaluated for use as a tank gun propellant. If the initial laboratory analysis indicates that the procured AHEM in fact has more potential (up to a fifty percent increase in muzzle velocity over the present tank gun propellant JA2) than our current propellant R&D efforts, the ARMY may elect to pursue this technology further. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their responses and ideas to the Contract Specialist. This is not a request for proposal. Participation in this market survey will not affect a company's position during any future solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market surveyor Government use of such information.
