DESC: The VA Medical Center West Los Angeles Healthcare Center intents to negotiate sole source, as authorized by U.S.C. 2304 (c)(2), procurement for One (1) Emergency Stand-by Water pump Assembly located in building #500 Sub-basement at Emergency water tanks. (North End Under Tanks) Vendor needs to upgrade emergency water supply system as indicated below. Most work will be completed off duty hours (After 7:30pm and before 6:00 a.m.) Scheduling of shutdown (4 -- EA) will be set up with the contractor and VAMC, West Los Angeles Healthcare Center at a later date when all material is on site. Specifically includes A.) 3-Ea. New 8" Butterfly valves, lug body drilled and tapped, gear operated. B.) 1-Ea. New 8" Motorized butterfly valve, lug body drilled tapped. C.) New 8" Flanged check valve. D.) 1- Ea. 8" X 5' Flanged spool. E.) 1-Ea. 4" X 1" Flanged spool. F.) Necessary nut, bolt, and gasket kits. G) New 2" ball valve for drain on existing 8" WYE strainer. H) Extend new drain from WYE strainer to existing floor drain. I.) New Paco Model 2507-7 Vertical in-line pump, rated for 300 GPM. At 180' TDH. With a 25 HP. 3500 RPM, 480 Volt, 3- Phase High efficiency ODP Motor. J) Necessary tools, equipment and scaffold to complete job. K.) All clean up and haul away of removed materials. L.) Necessary electrical to complete job, electrical panel, motorized valve, coaxes cable, and pump wiring. M.) Vendor to be on site for start-up and final testing of new system. Vendor shall also give instruction on operation of system. Specifically excluded A.) Scheduling of water shutdowns. B.)
