E-MAIL: Bighorn Canyon, NRA National Park Service, Judie_Moseman @nps.gov or Bonnie_Winslow@nps.gov. i) Bighorn Canyon, National Recreation Area is soliciting requests for proposal from qualified dealers/suppliers to provide a modular or mobile home, to be converted into a Ranger Contact Station. This unit should not be considered custom made, but should be considered a standard unit with modifications, choices, and/or options.!! ii) This solicitation is to be considered a commercial item contract and FAR 12 Commercial Item Contract with Firm Fixed Price will apply.!! iii) This contract is considered a full and open competitive procurement from qualified dealers/suppliers/manufacturers under SIC 54 Prefabricated Structures.!! iv) The manufacturer shall have a minimum of 10 years experience in the construction of these units that are supplied to qualified dealers.!! v) The dealer or supplier must provide a subcontractor to do the foundation and set-up and shall have a minimum of 5 years experience.!! vi) There will be only one line item. Item CLIN #0001: Mobile or Modular Home complete with cement foundation.!! vii) Structure will be constructed to be highly energy efficient, have extra insulation factors, and withstand extreme weather conditions, including temperature extremes from 120 degrees above zero to 40 degrees below zero and winds in excess of 100 miles per hour.!! viii) The structure will include such structural specifications for wall, floor and roof construction, and upgraded insulation factors for flooring, walls, and ceiling. The roof shall consist of T-Lock or better, shingling and a high load rating. This structure will be made to be handicapped accessible, meaning wider doors, entry ways, and lower cabinets. Windows need to be highly energy efficient. Heating and hot water will be by supplied by propane gas.!! ix) Interior will include handcapped accessibility throughout, mastser bathroom in front with outside public access (omitting bathtub), bedrooms converted into offices, textured walls, and central heat/air. Living room area converted into lobby space. The kitchen will be used as a first aid station, all appliances to be included, with a wall to separate it from the living room. Floors to all be tiled, no carpet.!! x) Solicitation packages with specifications and drawings will be made available by request on or about June 15, 1999. The bids must be received in this office within 30 days after the specifications have been made available. Award will be made within 10 days of the bid opening.!! (xi) In compliance with Commercial Item Contracting three options for delivery will be available: 1( Government preferred delivery, September 1, 1999; 2) Goverment required delivery, October 1, 1999; 3) or Offerors proposed delivery.!! xii) Government estimated price range is $40,000 to $50,000, delivered and assembled at Horseshoe Bend Marina area near the Lovell, Wyoming South District of the Park.!!
