76 -- SERIAL SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES SOL RFQ 99-450 DUE 062599 POC Bryan Salas The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), has a requirement to purchase a serial subscription service to facilitate and consolidate the purchase, delivery, and management of journals, books, trade magazines, and other periodicals as may be required by all on-campus laboratories of the NIDDK. This service will be used mainly to facilitate tracking, canceling, and ordering of current, expiring, and new upcoming requirements for journals and other periodicals. This service will be for a total of up to five years, consisting of a base year with four sequential option years. The detailed technical specifications will be provided in the Request for Quote package. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. All responses shall be within the Simplified Acquisition Threshold for Commercial purchases up to $5 million. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-99-450 will be available for release fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due (10) ten days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is July 2, 1999.
