answer questions received from potential quoters and to provide
clarification. Question #1: Is the watermark random or localized? If
its is localized what is the tolerance? ANSWER #1: No tolerance level
is required however, 1/4 inch + -- tolerance is acceptable. Question
#2: Section 3.3.8.2 of specification P:S-1B calls for a "semi-circular
notch in the trailing edge of the sheet". Would it be permissable to
replace this notch with some other means of sheet orientation
identification (i.e. a corner cut)? Answer #2: Corner cut notch is
acceptable however, notch must not be larger than 1/4 inch. The
following clarication is provided: (a) all vendors who have not
provided this paper to the BEP in the past will be required to submit
a test sample in order to determine acceptability of paper in
accordance with BEP specification before an order will be placed. (b)
Award will be based on best value including price, delivery terms,
acceptability of paper and other factors (i.e. past performance). If
