D -- LOCAL DIAL TONE SERVICE FOR LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY SOL USKY-99-R-01 POC Gina Blevins, (606) 233-2503 The United States District Court, Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking the services of a licensed vendor to provide and install local dial-tone and trunk services with digital and analog facilities for the new federal courthouse being constructed at 35 West Fifth Street, Covington, Kentucky. The contractor shall furnish all the labor and materials to perform all the work required. This project includes the U.S. District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. Probation Office, and U.S. Marshal Service. The planned move-in date is July 6, 1999. The Courts are purchasing a Vision NEC 2000 PBX telephone system to be installed in the new courthouse. The specified DS1 facilities with the digital trunks and nine of the analog trunks shall be connected to the new NEC 2000 PBX system to provide local dial-tone service to the Courts. The Courts have a modem server; six of the analog trunks will be connected to the modem server. Further requirements will be outlined in the Request For Proposal. An indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type of contract, with a base year and four optional renewal years, is anticipated as a result of this acquisition.
