The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) has a requirement for on-call intermediate level maintenance service for the Mobile Contraves Cinetheodilite Camera Systems, and associated Electronic sub-systems at Edwards Air Force Base . The Cinetheodolite Systems include the following: (1) Fecker and Goerz model modifications; (2) mechanical, optical, and electronic components in the optical, tracking drive control, and support sections of the Cinetheodolite; (3) marginal and inoperative circuits are to be checked out and corrected as required; and (4) maintenance on the following electronic subsystems associated with the nine (9) Cinetheodolite: digital electronic box, Datametrics Synchronized Time Code Generator, power control chasis, Theodolite Angle Encoding System, and Module Angular C ontrol System (MPACCS). Maintenance personnel shall be a journeyman level technician or engineer, familiar with the Contraves Cinetheodolite Fecker and Goerz modifications, with a minimum of two years experience with depot level maintenance within the past three years. Maintenance will be performed at Edwards AFB, CA. Initial contract period will be 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2002. Using the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), pursunt to FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements), the AFFTC intends to negotiate a contract with Contraves Brashear Systems, Pittsburgh, PA, unless there are other sources capable of satisfying this requirements at more favorable prices/terms. The SIC Code is 7699 and the standard business size is $3.5 million.
