The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-98-G-0105 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, for effort associated with AV8B ECP 292, OC1.1. The effort involves the non-recurring efforts to update, prepare, and deliver final technical publications to reflect ECP 292. MDC will also prepare provisioning data and deliver LSAR/Design Change Notices (DCN) as required for the Spanish and Italian aircraft only. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis with MDC under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements), as MDC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the aircraft and possesses the experience and technical data necessary to perform the effort.
