COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 2,1999 PSA#2358NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR TRANSPORT OF FIVE
HISTORIC TRAINS FROM GOLD COAST RAILROAD MUSEUM IN MIAMI, FLORIDA TO
STEAMTOWN NHS IN SCRANTON, PA Under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, the
National Park Service in Philadelphia, PA, intends to enter into
negotiations with International Trucking & Rigging Co., Inc. on a
sole-source Non-Competitive basis for the transporting of five (5)
historic rail cars from Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Miami, Florida to
Steamtown National Historic Site. All five cars will be shipped by rail
on flat cars provide by CSX Transportation. International Trucking &
Rigging Co., Inc. meets the criteria set forth for the unique and and
critical needs of the National Park Service in Philadelphia. Therefore,
in accordance with authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented in FAR
6.302.1, the Government intends to enter into negotiations with
International Trucking and Rigging Co., Inc. within thirty (30) days
after the publication of this notice. A determination not to open the
requirement to competition based on responses received to this notice
is soley within the discretion of the agency. This synopsis may
represent the only notice of this action. Interested parties may
