On or about 17June1999, this office will issue Request for Proposals for the construction of SMALL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT INDEFINITE DELIVERY TYPE, OMAHA DISTRICT. Proposals will not be opened publicly. PROPOSALS WILL BE RESTRICTED SMALL BUSINESS FIRMS. SIC code is 1600 series with additional work to include the 15 and 17 series. Small Business size standard is $17.0. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) This solicitation will facilitate award of up to four (4) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contracts for miscellaneous military and civil projects. One or more contracts may be awarded for work in each of the following geographical areas: Minnesota and Wisconsin (Badger Area) and Iowa AAP near Burlington Iowa (Badger Area). Each contract will have a two year base period, and one option period of three (3) years. Each contract will require the contractor to furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment to perform a wide variety of construction features to include but not be limited to; highway work, heavy construction work, building construction, minor hazardous toxic waste remediation work, mechanical work, and electrical work. The scope of work and authority to perform the work will be accomplished using delivery orders executed by the Contracting Officer. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $5,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. The plans and specifications are available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. It has been determined that the number of Compact Disks be limited to one (1) per firm. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
