Modification to the below listed description to include the following statement: "Numbered Note 1". -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Services: Remove and replacement of 2 ea. welded valves in the main steam loop at the power plant. 1. Cut out old valve and weld in new 12" valve. Quantity: 1 ea. 2. Cut old intermediate valve and weld in new 8" valve. Quantity: 1 ea. 3. This job consists of: a. Removal of a 12" welded gate valve, and installation of a government furnished 12" motorized operated valve. b. Removal of a 8" welded gate valve, and installation of a government furnished motorized operated valve. 4. All installed valves to be supplied by the government. 5. All asbetoes will be abated by the government before work begins. 6. Work will be coordinated with the operations section and should be completed in 5 work days. 7. All rigging, tools, scaffolding, welding supplies and labor to be supplied by the contractor. 8. Welding to be done by certified welder. Welding procedure used will conform to ASME sec. X1/831, for welding carbon steel using E-6010 & E-7018 electrodes. Power plant maintenance supervisor will perform visual on all welds. 9. A site visit is required. Posted 06/01/99 (D-SN337808).
